The disgrace of allowing the Mexican army into the U.S.

It is repellent that military units of Mexico, a country whose government and people openly entertain hostile and expansive designs on the United States, have been invited into the U.S. to assist in disaster relief. The linked story has uncorroborated reports that some of the Mexican units are armed, but even if they are not armed, they don’t belong in this country. Don’t our “leaders” realize that for the Mexicans, the very fact of their uniformed soldiers being allowed to enter the U.S., even to assist in a disaster, gives them a tremendous feeling of victory over us and spurs their national desire to advance the reconquista? Silly question. Our “leaders” don’t care about any of that.
