More on Jennings

A reader writes:

In regard to all the gag-worthy praise of Peter Jennings, all I have to do is remember the night I heard him refer to Bush as “our illegally-elected president.” Although I am no supporter of GWB, to hear a Canadian liberal make such a judgement on the air left me with bile in my throat.

LA to reader:

For many years I have refused to watch Jennings. I regarded him as an obscenity. To see “conservatives” praise him now tells us more than we want to know about how shallow their principles and their perception of political reality are.
