Pipes still spreading myth of moderate Islam

Daniel Pipes has an article today at FrontPage Magazine promoting the tired conceit that Islam is a brother religion of Christianity and Judaism, because Allah is the Arabic word for God, and because Moslems say they are descended from Abraham. Such arguments, based on a mere coincidence of words rather than on substantive reality, remind me of Diane Keaton’s airhead character in Sleeper saying, “Did you know that “dog” is “God” spelled backward? Kinda makes you think, doesn’t it?”
