Bush as unfallible master of the universe

For the true-believing Bush fanatics at Lucianne.com, every Bush failure and foul-up, up to and including the catastrophic mess in Iraq, is really part of a brilliantly thought-out strategy. Here’s the latest example, in response to the news that former government attorney and now federal judge Michael Chertoff has been nominated for the Homeland Security post following Bernard Kerik’s disastrously aborted nomination:

GW is a poker player. Kerik was the feint; Chertoff the ace.

But wait. If Bush can really predict and control events that much in advance, if he deliberately creates failures for himself in order to carry out some deeper plan that only he can see, maybe that nutty charge that he lied about WMDs—is true after all?
