What liberals mean by “suppressing voter turnout”

What liberalism has come to. Walter Chernenko, er, Cronkite tells Larry King he fears that illegal aliens and non-citizens may be scared away from the polls if their IDs are checked (thanks to Powerline):

The only thing that could damage the turnout would be the threats that might be implied, as many of the new registrees are challenged as to their various things. Their spelling of their name and the state where they really come from, whether they’re immigrants or not, do they have passports, all that kind of thing. If they are challenged at the polls, as they line up to go into the polls, they may fear having to answer all those questions. Particularly if they do have anything wrong about them and shouldn’t vote.

Notice that the main tool of chaos in this election is the Federal courts. I wish a state legislature or governor would come out and announce that they are ignoring all Federal injunctions until after the election due to the late nature of the suits.

I know I am dreaming, but it would be nice to see someone with a spine stand up to the out-of-control court system.

The degenerate Fedreal judge in the Ohio case is a Clinton appointee, Susan Dlott. To quote the NewsMax description posted over at Powerline:

“Critics have dubbed U.S. District Judge Susan Dlott an unabashed liberal who only snagged an appointment from Clinton in 1995 after her husband, Stan Chesley, raised millions for the Democratic Party,” the Cincinnati Enquirer reported back in February 2002.

The Cincinnati Enquirer described Dlott as “sometimes eccentric, often unconventional” and noted that on her bookshelf were photos of Bill and Hillary Clinton and Al Gore. We suspect that today that shelf includes a photo of John Kerry.

Dlott made it clear in her interview with the Enquirer that she didn’t care what people thought about her biased decrees. “And besides, she says, people are stuck because her appointment is for life.”

Yes, Clinton appointed this woman. Big surprise. She may have perfomed a Lewisnsky to seal the deal, given Clinton’s total baseness. But who was it that confirmed her in 1995? None other than the same sorry collection of Vichy-Republicans in Congress who will not bother to impeach her for the latest outrage. It’s the same old story we’ve all grown sick of hearing. Democrats indulge in blatant lawlessness while Republicans roll over and play dead out of fear of being called racists. (The seem to forget that the MSM and Democrats call them racists 24 x 7 as it is.) Perhaps they and President Boilerplate can stand in a chorus as say “Diversity is our Strength!” over and over again as the election goes down in flames.

The Ohio governor, another Republican, should tell the judge that the challengers are going to the polls whether she likes it or not and send armed police and/or Ohio National Guard to make sure they are allowed in. That will never happen because George W. Bush thinks that the additional 2-4 percent of the Black vote this year is more important than winning the election. These are the same folks who are busy saying that conservatives are the ones who are so ideologically driven that they don’t care about winning elections.

RINO Taft isn’t going to do anything. Luckily the judge was overruled. Still, someone needs to start telling these judges to go fly a kite.

Please excuse the inadvertent post above this one. I guess I am not at my best today. I merely wanted to point out that if you hand your enemy a pistol, load it for him, and teach him how to shoot, you have precious little right to complain when he shoots your ears off while practicing to put the next one in your heart.
