Cat Stevens deported from U.S.

We all knew that Cat Stevens, the lyrical, romantic, spiritual-seeker singer-songwriter who three decades ago recorded such beautiful albums as “Tea for the Tillerman,” had become something a hard line Muslim in the ’70s and ended his pop music career at that time. His exclusion this week from the U.S. over terrorist connections (apparently consisting of support for Hamas) puts a final period to the saga of his drift away from our civilization. Too bad this seeker didn’t find Christ instead of Muhammed.
