Antietam

Earlier this week, I noticed that September 17 was coming up. I knew that it was a significant date, but couldn’t place it for a second. Did it have something to do with September 11? Then I remembered: September 17, 1862, the battle of Antietam, a major turning point in the Civil War and the bloodiest day in American history. Here’s something I posted about the anniversary of Antietam last year.
