My first laugh of the day

From Lucianne’s Must Reads:

The Essential Obama
“Bob” Tyrrell, Jr uses the word “lapidarily” in this
delightful article so well it deserves a Must Read
for that alone.

It’s funny because I too had never seen “lapidary” turned into an adverb. As an adjective, lapidary means “having the elegance and precision associated with inscriptions in monumental stone.” It’s additionally funny because “lapidarily” rhymes with “airily.”
