Entry removed

October 9, 11:00 p.m.: In this space there was an entry called, “A VFR reader has two very close calls with violent blacks.” After it was posted, and after the reader received criticisms from other readers because of his behavior that had put him at risk, he had second thoughts and asked me to post a revised version of his comment that cast his behavior in a less negative light, as he felt he had been too hard on himself in the original version. That was not possible, as other comments had already been posted responding to his original comment. So I am simply removing the entry. However, there was also an anecdote by Laura Wood in that entry about a potentially dangerous experience she had. I will re-post it in its own entry directly above this one.
