Chavez fighting for re-election

In the Miami Herald, Roger Noriega of the Bush administration and AEI reports that President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela is in trouble in his re-election effort. I’m glad to hear it, but also surprised to hear that there is even an election. I guess I had assumed that Chavez had made himself dictator for life.

Oh, and guess which former U.S. president is in Venezuela, putting his seal of approval on the Marxist thug-leader? Jimmy Carter. The man is still getting vengeance on America for rejecting him for a second term.
