An apparent motive in the Tulsa killings—revenge

The AP story at the New York Daily News yesterday came right out in its first sentence and said that two “white” men had been arrested for shooting five “black” victims. Of course such directness about the racial aspect of cross-racial violent crime is NEVER seen when blacks harm whites, which they do about 50 times more often than whites harm blacks.

However, there is a striking twist on the apparently racially motivated attacks, appearing today, also in the Daily News (with the updated story replacing the earlier story, which is why I can’t quote the earlier story):

Jacob England, 19, and his roommate, Alvin Watts, 32, were arrested early Sunday after local, state and federal officials teamed up to crack the case.

Authorities said several anonymous tips that England was the shooter led to the arrests.

Task force commander Maj. Walter Evans said the probe into motive was still fresh, but cops think “there is a connection” to the 2010 murder of England’s father.

On his Facebook page, England made several references to his father’s murder, along with murky threats.

“I’m gone in the head,” he wrote Thursday. “Today is two years that my dad has been gone—shot by a f—-ing (racial slur).”

In this connection, let us remember that one of the men convicted in the notorious 1998 murder of James Byrd in Texas, John William King, claimed that he had earlier been gang-raped by black inmates in prison.

And it also turns out that Jake England, the killer whose father was murdered, isn’t exactly white. Friends describe him as a Cherokee Indian, as is obvious in his photo.

Jonathan Silber writes:

How long before alleged killer of blacks Jake England, a Cherokee Indian, is described in the New York Times as a “white Cherokee Indian?”
