Further questions on Ravi case

A reader at The Thinking Housewife asks Unanswered Questions Regarding the Dharun Ravi Case. There are many. However, I think I can answer her first few questions, concerning what rules govern what sort of behavior in student dorm rooms, including sexual trysts between students and 30 year old non-students. The answer is, there are no rules. Decades ago the universities abandoned their former role of local parent and guardian, and declared that everything—at least everything of a consensual sexual nature—is permitted.
