Another conservative infatuated with the evil Christopher Hitchens

This morning at Lucianne.com, I see this, the beginning of a TownHall.com column by Derek Hunter:

There are a few people you read on the web, hear on the radio or see on TV and think, “I’d really like to meet that person.” When I moved to DC in 2001, I had a mental short list of those people, and Christopher Hitchens was right at the top.

I didn’t want to meet Christopher Hitchens. I didn’t want to look at or listen to Hitchens. I couldn’t stand him. As far back as I remember, watching him on TV made me feel toxified (just as, in the title of his 2007 book, he said religion poisons everything). So what’s wrong with me? Why am I unlike all these other conservatives who liked him, found him fascinating and engaging, etc.?

(See Conservatives and Hitchens.)
