Apes Will Rise

When the movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes opened on August 5 a reader sent me a link to the trailer, and I watched it online. The movie seems a worthy prequel of the famous 1968 movie The Planet of the Apes.

Also on August 5, WTMJ in Milwaukee reported a huge racial rampage that had occurred the previous evening at the Wisconsin State Fair. In a VFR post, I characterized it as “the largest black-on-white wilding or flash mob that I’ve heard of so far, and the most detailed in the reporting and the witnesses’ accounts.”

The news story about the events at the Wisconsin State Fair contained this:

“When we made a left hand turn, we were stopped in traffic. I looked toward the bridge, right before you get on the freeway, and all I saw was a road full of black kids, jumping over people’s cars, jumping on people’s hoods, running over the top of them.”

I read that, the same day that I saw the trailer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The trailer has a scene in which the chimpanzees, who are rebelling against human rule, are seen leaping over the hoods of cars on a road bridge,

uncannily like the behavior described by the witness to WTMJ: “jumping over people’s cars, jumping on people’s hoods, running over the top of them.”

Reader, I didn’t go searching this out. I didn’t make this up in order to make some point about the behavior of black thugs. I’m simply describing what presented itself to me. At this site I regularly report examples of synchronicity (“the experience of two or more events, that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance, that are observed to occur together in a meaningful manner”), and fact that I saw the trailer of the apes movie on the same day that the racial rampage in Wisconsin was reported is certainly one of them.

Watch the trailer starting at 1:41 where the chimpanzees begin their revolt against the humans, and especially at 2:00 when they are shown runnning and leaping over the tops of cars on the highway bridge.
