Is the Brooklyn child murderer one of us?

Yesterday Irv P. wrote that the Brooklyn child killer is a mutant; that he, Irv, has no interest in analyzing why the killer did what he did; that the search for such “reasons” is a terrible insult to all of us; and that the killer is vermin that should simply be exterminated.

Today John E. replies that the child killer is no mutant, that he is as human as we are, and that we are in some way responsible for what he did. Irv P. replies.
