The ATF horror

My mind can’t begin to take in the Obama administration project of selling weapons to Mexican criminal drug gangs, though doubtless it has something to do with the fact that the administration consists of anti-American leftists. Here are some articles and discussions: IBD, Daily Caller, Lucianne.com.

Paul K. writes:

In the article at Daily Caller, Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said that he’s almost certain Project Gunrunner and Operation Fast and Furious were anti-gun agenda political ploys from the Obama administration. He said, “I think another major part of this story is that the narrative of the Obama administration and the ATF is that, ‘wouldn’t it be great if we could tie guns, as part of our anti-gun agenda, to the Mexican civil war, as opposed to, you know, our lack of enforcement of the drug laws or failure to protect the borders.’ ”

This would fit in logically with something President Obama said when he met with gun-control advocates Jim Brady and his wife Sarah on March 30. Obama told them that gun control “was very much on his agenda,” but that he was working on it “under the radar.”

Project Gunrunner and Operation Fast and Furious sound very much like under-the-radar operations that were exposed.
