Obama has overridden the War Powers Act

Under the War Powers Act, the president must get congressional approval within 60 days of commencing a military campaign abroad; in the absence of such approval, the president must stop the campaign within the next 30 days. Tomorrow, Friday, will mark the 60th day since Obama initiated military strikes against Libya. He has not sought congressional approval, nor has either party in Congress tried to grant it. President and Congress have simply ignored the law. More and more we are living in a political system in which our leaders do whatever they please, outside the law, and pay no price.
