Rand and school busing

The long entry on Rand and conservatism the other day began with Donald Luskin’s discussion of Rand’s position on busing: she appeared to favor it. Now it emerges that Luskin’s passage was somewhat ambiguous and misleading. In fact, Rand opposed busing for reasons of freedom, while also saying that if people opposed busing out of “racism,” they were in the wrong. See a reader’s comment and my reply quoting Rand’s full answer on busing.
