The refugee crisis

Gates of Vienna has a series of entries on the wave of refugees arriving in Europe from Africa, here, here, here, and here.

UPDATE (sent 3-8, posted 3-9)

Baron Bodissey, the host of Gates of Vienna, writes:

I saw the links at VFR to the Mediterranean refugee crisis, and I thank you. You may be interested in today’s comprehensive follow-up.

The migrant situation in the Med is so fluid, and changes so rapidly, that I may have to post about it every day in order to keep up. It has caused major friction between Italy and France, and also between Italy and Malta, and the EU apparatus is relatively toothless when it comes to dealing with it.

In the long run, the “Camp of the Saints” crisis will have far greater significance than the idiotic war in Libya.
