How to go from being Pamela Geller’s great friend to being nobody

Pamela Geller wrote on September 14 at Atlas Shrugs:

My great friend and colleague, former slave from Sudan and now a leading figure in the fight for freedom and against jihad, Simon Deng, commences his Sudan Freedom Walk tomorrow.

Among other contacts with Geller, Deng had spoken at an anti-Ground Zero mosque rally organized by Geller on June 6.

Yet Pamela Geller wrote on August 23, about an anti-Ground Zero mosque rally that took place on August 22, which she did not organize and in which she did not participate:

I have no idea what this rally is. I have no idea who these people [the rally speakers] are. I have no idea who organized this rally. Clearly, whoever organized this was careless, unprepared, shooting from the hip and harmful to the cause of freedom and compassion. I wasn’t even in the state, nor did I know anything about this half-a**ed effort.

The list of speakers at August 22 rally, provided by the rally’s organizers, included:

Simon Deng, former Slave of Islam and leader of Sudan Freedom Walk

Doesn’t Pamela Geller have a lot of nerve, to say she is Simon Deng’s friend?
