Sensing our weakness, the Muslims move in for the kill—at Ground Zero

Daniel S. writes:

According to FOX News, there are plans by another Muslim group to build another mosque near the former World Trade Center site. The Muslim group behind this second planned mosque is even more brazen in its Islamic supremacy than the other Muslim group also planning to build a mosque near the WTC site:

In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the ‘House of Allah’ next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of ‘LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH’ in downtown Manhattan.”

An open call for jihad aggression against the US (the use of the metaphor of raising the flag is a deliberately militant cry). How long will such acts be tolerated?

LA replies:

They are acting, with variations suited to the particular circumstances, in the timeless Islamic way. Their destruction of the World Trade Center, which was an expression of total power and mastery over the World Trade Center, made it, in effect, territory subject to Dar al Islam. Now they want to put the seal of Islamization, symbolically, over that territory, by building these mosques. In their minds, those desolated 16 acres of New York City and the surrounding traumatized blocks are as much a part of the Islamic world as Spain. And that explains why the group seeking to build the 13 story mosque and Islamic Center calls itself the Cordoba Initiative. “Cordoba Initiative” means: “We are taking back what is already ours, in the same way that we intend to take Spain back, which is already ours.”

As I’ve said many times, there is no point in getting angry at the Muslim individuals and groups who are doing this. They are simply executing the strategies laid down by the Koran, the Hadiths, and the Islamic law. As Muslims following their religion, they cannot help doing what they are doing. Pace Bernard Lewis and the neocons, it is not up to the Muslims to stop waging jihad against us. Rather, it is up to us to recognize what they are up to, and to stop them.

Here is the Fox News article:

Muslims in NYC Planning to Build Second, Smaller Mosque Near Ground Zero

By Ed Barnes

As controversy surrounds the construction of a 13-story mosque just two blocks from Ground Zero, FOX News has learned that an effort to place a second mosque close to the hallowed site in New York City is in its advanced stages.

The Masjid Mosque has raised $8.5 million and is seeking an additional $2.5 million to begin construction. While it apparently has not settled on a final location, it has told donors it plans to build very close to where 3,000 people were killed in the September 11 terror attacks.

In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the ‘House of Allah’ next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of ‘LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH’ in downtown Manhattan.”

One source said he believed the planners are considering a five-story building on 23 Park Place, closer to Ground Zero than the 13-story mosque the Cordoba Initiative is planning to build. But a tax record search shows that 23 Park Place is in private hands and has not changed owners since 2008.

Unlike the massive $100 million Cordoba House mosque, the Masjid Mosque is small—and it is no stranger to the neighborhood. Since 1970 it had been located at 12 Warren Street, about four blocks north of the World Trade Center, in a neat but nondescript industrial space that once housed a printing shop. It lost its lease in 2008 when the building was sold, and it was evicted from its second-floor prayer space on May 25 of that year. Since then it has been operating out a cramped basement space in a nearby building at 20 Warren Street.

On Friday evenings the mosque, which is popular with street vendors and taxi drivers, becomes so crowded that worshipers spill onto nearby sidewalks to pray in what has come to be a community event.

A press representative for Daisy Kahn, executive director of the Cordoba Initiative, said neither she nor anyone in her group had been aware of the Masjid’s efforts. “They have no connection to us,” she said. “We didn’t even know they were there.”

Masjid mosque leaders claim on their website that they are deeply involved in converting people to Islam and run a special program to convert those who are interested.

Efforts to reach mosque leaders were not successful. Calls left with Naheem Mohammed, the mosque’s treasurer, were not returned. Calls to the mosque itself were not answered. And efforts to reach Abdullah El-Khory, the president of the mosque’s board, were not successful.

Julie Menin, chairwoman of Community Board 1, also declined to return several calls. The board, which monitors and approves all development in the financial district surrounding Ground Zero and has been stung by criticism from the families of 9/11 victims, is permitted to assess the impact of building a mosque at the site.

That’s a tremendous insight. I didn’t know about the name “Cordoba Initiative,” but even if I had, I don’t know if I could have made that synthesis.

LA replies:

I wrote most of the comment before I noticed the name Cordoba Initiative. What gave me the thought initially was the passage of the article that Daniel S. quoted:

In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the ‘House of Allah’ next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of ‘LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH’ in downtown Manhattan.”

That said to me that this is a deliberate effort to lay claim to the part of Manhattan that their fellow Muslims have destroyed, to restate their ownership over previously conquered land. Then when I saw that the other group that is building the first mosque calls itself the Cordoba Initiative, that underscored the point. Cordoba was the greatest city of Islamic Spain, which Muslims call Andalusia. And of course Osama bin Laden has stated that one of his reasons for waging jihad is to get revenge for, or rather to undo, the “tragedy of Andalusia.” A half millennium after the expulsion of the Moslems from Spain—and the true-believing Moslems are still hurting from it. The loss is unbearable to them and must be made right. And the same is true of any territory once controlled by Islam (including, of course, Israel). What I realized when reading Daniel’s quote from the article is that they regard Ground Zero as territory once controlled by Islam and thus rightfully theirs.

Thanks for your honest view in a time of destructive P C.

Our President, AG and Homeland Security head cannot speak a positive word about our country, continue to build race hatred and unrest and have the arrogance to talk about the AZ law as though they are too good to even sulley themselves to read it. Then top it off by allowing a ‘spokesman’ for the State Dept to equate us with the human rights abuses of China. Where will it end and where is the outrage among the ‘leaders’ of our country. The Republican party has been strangely silent on all of these issues except those who are asking questions in a Congressional setting. The debate seems to be onesided.

It is abundantly clear that this administration is out to destroy this country.
