The Times looks into the Democrats’ looming abyss

It’s not just the Blue Dogs and the representatives from closely divided districts who are in trouble in this year’s congressional elections, says the New York Times. It’s people like Rep. David Obey, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, who has occupied the same seat in Congress for 42 years. The Times goes on to say that numerous veteran Democrats from normally uncontested Democratic districts—including several committee chairmen like Obey—are facing tough re-election fights.

Rep. Peter Sessions of Texas, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, has “said that he will consider anything short of taking back the House a failure.” I absolutely agree. For passing Obamacare and for the way they passed it, the Democrats deserve to be crushed into the earth. And if America is still politically alive, that is what will happen.
