Let’s do it (let’s love big Al)

Dems do it
Bush did it
Even angry African-American GOP chairmen do it
Let’s do it
Let’s love big Al.

Newt does it
Beck does it
Even people to the right of Genghis Khan do it
Let’s do it
Let’s love big Al.

That’s what the GOP establishment is telling us. They want us to join the Al Sharpton parade, or at the very least not criticize people who do. GOP national chairman Michael Steele this week is the latest. Our answer should be: So long as you traffic with Sharpton, we will have no traffic with you.

It was President Bush who broke down any remaining establishment Republican resistance to Sharpton when he invited him to a White House event in 2008 and yukked it up with him. Here is VFR’s entry on that disgusting event, in which I recount why no decent human being should have anything to do with Sharpton, let alone self-described conservatives.
