Value and price

An Andy Warhol silk-screen of 200 one dollars bills just sold for $43.7 million. More than a hundred times what the owner paid for it in 1986.

Compare that to the Metropolitan Museum of Art paying $2.3 million in 1961 for Rembrandt’s Aristotle Contemplating a Bust of Homer, which at the time was the largest price ever paid for a painting.
