The Freudian slip of the century

After meeting with Senate Democrats yesterday on the prospects for passing the health care bill this month, Obama told reporters: “We are on the precipice of an achievement that has eluded Congresses and presidents for generations.”

Meaning that for the left, the ultimate achievement is to push America off a high cliff.to its destruction, and nationalized medicine is the way to do that—just as I have been saying about this bill all along.

Mary Katharine Ham at the Weekly Standard meditates on the meaning of Obama’s remarkable verbal slip.

Another stumbling, inadvertently true, eye-opening statement from an un-American, tin-eared Head Lemming who doesn’t have a clue that he’s exposing himself for who he is. Like “spread the wealth around” to Joe the Plumber. Like bowing to the Saudi King. Like dissing the King of Norway. Like the styrofoam and the cardboard. Please, Obama. You go first. Tie yourself to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi for added gravitational pull. We non-lemmings will manage just fine.

‘Tis the Season

OBAMA: How do we repair the damage health care reform has done to our caucus? David?

AXELROD: I’ll plant fake stories in the National Enquirer about Nelson, Lieberman, Lincoln, and Landrieu. Drugs, infidelity, gambling. Then, you have Holder discover ”evidence” Glenn Beck ginned it all up

OBAMA: Excellent! They’ll be eternally grateful. However, the Enquirer won’t take unsourced stuff. So use the Times, instead. It doesn’t have the credibility or stature of the Enquirer, but it’ll do. Rahm?

EMANUEL: Host a White House Christmas party for the hard left and their families, sir.

OBAMA: Nice. Have the NEA stage ”How the Gingrinch rolled Clinton” for the Kos Kids.

BIDEN: Hey Boss. An al Qaeda musical’s packin’ ‘em in in London’s West End. Let’s have their troupe over to perform at the party. Show ‘em there’s nothin’ personal. They do standbys like ”Try to Dismember,” from The Jihadists; ”If Ever I Should Cleave You,” from Camel-lot; and ”My Sunni Valentine,” from Heads ‘n Arms.

MICHELLE: I want you to order Biden to become a Republican. You hear me, Barack?

BO’s greatly esteemed Ivy League education must not have been all that—or else he can’t assimilate and apply very well. Has figurative meaning of ‘precipice’ (the brink of a dangerous or disastrous situation) ever been considered a good thing? (Let’s see those school transcripts, by the way.)

BO’s current verbal gaffe should inspire some great cartoons, so thanks for that, Mr. Prez.

Quick Rahm, get the teleprompter back out

Maybe he got all “wee weed up” and mispronounced ‘press the price’.

Two non-threatening alternatives would be “brink” or “verge.” Ah, but leave it to serial liar Bam-Bam to spill the beans.

Another of Comrade Barry’s “tells” as every poker player knows. Just like the muslim religion comment durring the campaign, 0bama is an open book.

Isn’t this the same guy that the NY munchkins, Brooks & Frum, as well as the Wicked Witches of the East (Dowd, Quinn, Noonan & Parker) thought was the ultimate in Ivy League cool & brains? That he would be such an improvement over the Middle America “bumpkin” he replaced? Now look where they and the 52% who voted for him have put us.

Mr. Bush, you and I had our differences but you did the job over 8 difficult years and I would have you back in a New York minute!

We’ve been on a precipice for all of 2009 and the Obami are giving us all a good shove, in the name of…. fairness? Compassion? ‘Justice?’

Seriously, if this thing passes, I think the Democrats will reap the consequences for years. They are ramming down a very unpopular piece of legislation that will increase taxes and limit choice—the tax part is front loaded, BTW. So we all get to feel the pain first, and real soon.

They will have passed this just barely on a straight party line vote against the public’s will. For example, old people are not going to suddenly enter Happy Govt Health Care Land and forget that their Medicare was slashed.

Do you get the impression that as our brave leader yells “charge” and runs forward, a lot of people are drifting off?

Reply 25—Posted by: Patchy Groundfog, 12/16/2009 8:08:16 AM

If you know for a fact that your friend, family member or neighbor voted Democrat kick them in the shins won’t you? We could have avoided all this aggro were it not for clueless voters.

Reply 27—Posted by: Barbarian Heretic, 12/16/2009 8:14:05 AM

Indeed, it is a “precipice” … and every day that goes by now, moderate Dems are seeing visions of their political graves … This thing may get beat yet …

And all we lemmings know how we LOVE precipices! A Freudian slip?

Reply 43—Posted by: bogeegolf, 12/16/2009 10:00:30 AM

At least we can laugh. It’s still legal isn’t it?

Reply 44—Posted by: Truthful, 12/16/2009 10:18:27 AM

“We are on the precipice” I learned several years ago while on jury duty from a detective who was investigating the case, that every crook will often unknowingly let the truth slip out. Obviously, this is clearly the case. Only divine intervention can save America now. It’s happened before and it can come again. Pray, Pray, Pray.

#4 and #44 I’m praying and have been praying. Please, I pray, stay positive with me no matter what happens. There is nothing negative in the Trinity. Nothing. Evil is negative and we feed it ‘if’ we are negative.

I pray Americans will stay with the Lord when He helps us, bc if we fall away He will turn away from us again.
