Is Darwinism science, or religion?

The Darwinian enterprise gets us both ways at once. Some leading Darwinians speak eloquently and effusively of Darwinism or evolutionary science as the source of meaning in life, even as a new religion. But, as soon as you point this out, other Darwinians come along and say, no, that’s not true, Darwinism is just a science, it’s just about fact, it doesn’t claim to offer meaning.

A reader says I unfairly accused him of playing this Darwinian good cop bad cop routine, and asks for evidence that EO Wilson has spoken of Darwinism as a religion, and I reply.
