It sounds like love

I haven’t read it and don’t intend to, but had to share this headline and cut line from David Brooks’s latest.

The Analytic Mode
By DAVID BROOKS
We should embrace the analytical governing style of President Obama, and learn to live without the passion and clarity of his presidential campaign.

Gintas writes:

It sounds like the romance has gone, and he’s settled into a committed marriage with his man. Remember, Brooks is in favor of homosexual “marriage.” He wrote in 2003:

The conservative course is not to banish gay people from making such commitments. It is to expect that they make such commitments. We shouldn’t just allow gay marriage. We should insist on gay marriage. We should regard it as scandalous that two people could claim to love each other and not want to sanctify their love with marriage and fidelity.

Diana West writes:

I couldn’t resist the temptation of the link. You were wise not to read it!!!

Jim C. writes:

I thought the same thing. Brooks probably thinks Obama is as stupid as I do, but because he is paid by the Sulzbergers … [LA replies: For readers’ information, Jim C. takes the position that Obama’s IQ is no higher than 105. I think that’s completely off-base. Our exchange is in this entry.]

Let’s stop the b.s. about Brooks: he is not a good writer and he is not a good thinker. His career is a mystery to me—like the washed-out Country singer in a late-night ad who you later discover is richer than Tiger. Obama doesn’t “analyze” anything—what he does do is calculate how best to implement his socialist policies without the producers getting too annoyed.

HE HAS FAILED. The muse has revealed her flabby breast. It is all over for Obamism
