How Obama gets the American people to love him

Meanwhile, our charming, unifying, and so-cool president says that people who doubt the manmade global warming theory are liars. In a speech at MIT yesterday, the alien in chief declared that opponents of the anti-warming legislation are making

cynical claims that contradict the overwhelming scientific evidence when it comes to climate change, claims whose only purpose is to defeat or delay the change that we know is necessary…. The naysayers, the folks who would pretend that this is not an issue, they are being marginalized.

Meaning that in the world view of this Alinskyite, a 64 percent majority of Americans is a marginal, irrelevant group—just as, in his eyes, the 65 percent majority of Americans who are white are a marginal, irrelevent group.

Am I missing some brilliant tactical move here? Is there some way that a politician wins people’s support by telling them that if they believe what they believe, that proves that they are cynical liars?

I’m reminded of how the charmer’s charming wife used to tell Democratic primary voters that if they did not support her husband, that would show that they were being cynical. The tactic worked, but those were Democrats.
