The New Jerusalem

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England’s mountains green
And was the Holy Lamb of God
On England’s pleasant pastures seen?
(William Blake, “Jerusalem”)

In our time, England didn’t want the Holy Lamb of God. It didn’t want pleasant pastures. It didn’t want its historic nationhood and culture. And it certainly didn’t want to fight for any of those things, even though the beautiful song made of Blake’s “Jerusalem,” with its line, “I will not cease from mental fight / Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,” had become more popular than ever, almost a national anthem. No. England now wanted secularism and atheism. It wanted tolerance and pluralism. It wanted total individual freedom, particularly sexual freedom. It wanted the economic growth which, its political leaders kept repeating like a mantra, comes from unlimited mass immigration. It wanted the equality and inclusion of all peoples and cultures, especially Islam.

And so in today’s England we have this:

A teenager and a 25-year-old are accused of attempted murder after they allegedly poured sulphuric acid down a young man’s throat in a suspected ‘honour crime’ in Leytonstone….

The victim, who managed to escape and raise the alarm, remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition. He was reportedly blinded and his tongue was destroyed.

Here is the horrible story, from The London Paper.

Two in court over alleged honour crime acid attack
by: Lara Deauville
23 July 2009

A TEENAGER and a 25-year-old man have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after they allegedly tried to kill a man by pouring acid down his throat.

The victim, a 24-year-old Muslim man who is believed to be Danish, was stabbed twice in the back, beaten with bricks and had sulphuric acid thrown over him as well as forced into his mouth in a suspected “honour” attack.

He was left fighting for his life after the brutal assault, which took place on Marchant Road, Leytonstone, east London, on 2 July.

The victim was reported to have been having an affair with a married Muslim woman. Police have denied reports that officers have warned the woman that her life is at risk.

The two suspects, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were due to appear before Waltham Forest Magistrates’ Court today after being charged with attempted murder yesterday, Scotland Yard said.

The victim, who managed to escape and raise the alarm, remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition. He was reportedly blinded and his tongue was destroyed.

A total of seven males were originally arrested in connection with the inquiry.

The victim suffered burns to 90 per cent of his body in the attack three weeks ago.

A witness said: “I saw four men lashing out and kicking him on the ground.

“I shouted and they ran off, then one went back and started on him again.

“The poor man got up and ran straight into a tree, then staggered back to his house, tugging at his burning clothes and banging on doors, shouting for water.”

Emergency services discovered the man staggering in agony, unable to speak coherently. Fire crews hosed him down in the street.

Neighbour Paulette Billings said: “I was woken by a man running up and down the street shouting and banging on doors.

“I didn’t realise what a terrible thing had happened until the next day.”

Speaking of England’s unwillingness to fight for anything, Irwin Graulich writes today:

Amazingly, those pathetic socialist countries throughout Europe have learned all the wrong lessons from WWII and the Holocaust. Europeans should have learned that one of the most noble human causes is to fight evil. Instead, they learned that fighting is evil.

Clark Coleman writes:

Actually, Europeans did not learn the false lesson that fighting is evil from World War II. They learned that from World War I, which is why we had appeasement in the 1930s and had to endure World War II. The fact that they can learn a false lesson, be punished catastrophically, then fall back into believing the same false message a second time certainly says something about the resiliency of the liberal European spirit, does it not?

Karen writes from England:

The perpetrators will be Muslims. These type of attacks are quite common in East London but his one is particularly bad which is why it made the news. Most of East London is Third World and largely Muslim. Within a short time I think it will be a no go area for whites and probably Police who tend to run away from any type of violent crime.
