What judges are supposed to do

To devastating effect, Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma read aloud to Sonia Sotomayor the oath of office administered to all federal judges. It’s about not having regard to persons, about being impartial between the poor and the rich. This is the exact opposite of Sotomayor’s and the Democrats’ relativist and racial-socialist judicial ideology with its requirement that judges have “empathy,” meaning that judges must favor the poor, the outcast, the nonwhite, and all the hung-up persons in the whole wide universe.
