Are the faces of public figures … private?
Is it wrong to think that the physical appearance of public figures corresponds sometimes with their character, and to make critical observations about their appearance on that basis? It’s a discussion we’ve had before, and we’re having it again, in connection with Dutch journalist Joanie de Rijke who was held captive for six days and repeatedly raped by a Taliban commander, and said after her release that her captors respected her and were not such bad guys. It’s in the entry, “Wilders tells the Dutch elite what they are.”
