VFR

VFR will be quiet for the rest of the weekend. Tomorrow I’m giving a talk on Islam to a meeting of ACT For America, Brigitte Gabriel’s group. The other speaker will be Supna Zaidi, a moderate Muslim who runs Daniel Pipes’s Islamist Watch. The meeting is taking place in a New York City apartment, and the limited number of places are already taken. I’m sorry I didn’t announce the event sooner, to give readers in New York a chance to attend. However, given the limited number of seats it’s probably better to reach out to the mainstream Islam critics (such as the members of ACT for America) who say that Islam is a terrible threat to our society but don’t yet propose doing anything to keep the number of Muslims from increasing among us.

Anthony Damato writes:

Did I read correctly? Why have you legitimized the term “Moderate Muslim” in your post of the ACT affair tomorrow?

Larry, you railed against the fantasy of the “moderate Moslem” consistantly, furiously, like clockwork many times, now you employ it.

I’m a bit surprised indeed. Did Saudi oil money make you do it?

LA replies:

I’m debatng Supna Zaida.
