Does the order of being preclude human freedom, or make it possible?

In a thread at Oz Conservative, Mark Richardson and his commenters discuss my exchange with a reader, “What defines ‘left’ and ‘right’?” Since some commenters have problems with phrases such as “natural, social and spiritual order,” which strike modern people as fascistic or Dark Agey, Richardson by way of explanation quotes at length from my July 2007 entry, “What is the order of being?” I thank him for that. I hadn’t thought about the entry in a long time and it is worth a revisit. (The entry is permanently linked on VFR’s main page.)
