Oakland blacks to honor killer of four police officers

James R. writes:

Paul K. quoted Jean Damu: “When the full story is finally told and, though not likely freely admitted by many, deep within the spiritual thinking of numerous African Americans, an emotional candle will be lit in memory of Lovelle Mixon.”’

There will be more than an emotional candle lit in memory of Mixon as a candlelight vigil in memory of him is scheduled for tonight:

Defend African People’s Right to Resist!
March, Candlelight Vigil and Rally for Lovelle Mixon and Family
Wednesday, March 26th, 6 to 8pm [LA: March 26 is Thursday]
Gather at Uhuru House, 7911 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland
6:30 March to Eastmont Town Center
Rally & Return to the Uhuru House
