Another reason not to watch the inaugural event

Obama has invited Bishop Gene Robinson—whose ordination as an episcopal bishop in 2003 caused the current split in the Episcopal Church USA, and, in my opinion, meant the end of the Episcopal Church as a Christian church—to offer a prayer at the Lincoln Memorial as part of the inaugural festivities.

And exactly what faith is Robinson representing? In various interviews, Robinson has made it clear that he won’t be using the Bible in his prayer, going so far as to tell the New York Times that “he had been reading inaugural prayers through history and was ‘horrified’ at how ‘specifically and aggressively Christian they were.’”
