Obama’s global warming czarina is a socialist who believes in global government

Stephen Dinan reports at the Washington Times:
Until last week, Carol M. Browner, President-elect Barack Obama’s pick as global warming czar, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group’s Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for “global governance” and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change.

This will be no obstacle to Browner’s approval by the Senate (assuming such approval is required). America’s leadership class, Democratic and Republican, has already made it clear that it sees no problem in the occupation of high U.S. government positions by persons who do not believe in the U.S. government and think it ought to be replaced by a global government. Clinton appointee Strobe Talbot was an open advocate of one-world government, yet the Democratic-majority and later the Republican-majority U.S. Senate repeatedly approved him for high-level offices in the State Department
