What a great blessing Christmas is!
It is the one day of the year when the feeling of Jesus Christ’s presence is manifested in human society as a whole, when even people who have no interest in him are aware of him, when there is a renewal, unlike on any other day, of our experience of him and of the meaning of his coming into the world. When Jesus’ birth is celebrated each year the world is reborn—not the material world, but the spiritual world, which is the source of the true life of the material world. Email entry |
