Bangladeshi man earns Darwin Award

This was reported by Associated Australian Press, via Lucianne.com:

A crocodile killed and devoured a 25-year-old man in Bangladesh who waded into a pond next to a shrine hoping to be blessed by the animal….”This is a very unusual incident. Normally, the crocodiles are very friendly and do not harm people.” [Inspector Humayun] Kabir said.

Let’s just hope the fellow didn’t already have children, otherwise the point of the Darwin Award is lost.

However, based on the inspector’s comment, it sounds as if Bangladesh as a whole deserves the Darwin Award.

An L-dotter comments:

“Normally, the crocodiles are very friendly” except when they’re eating you, stupid.
