First defendant in Knoxville Atrocity found guilty

A creature named Eric Dewayne “E” Boyd was found guilty today as an accessory to the kidnapping and torture-murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom in Knoxville in January 2007. He had not been charged with participation in the murders. The other four defendants are still to be tried.

On a side point, notice how this news article, by Jamie Satterfield of the Knoxville News Sentinel, is constructed. It starts with ten paragraphs featuring various quotations from relatives and attorneys before it gets to the facts of the story.

The writer, Jamie Satterfield, has said that it was not racial. She has insisted that it is a case of “five people charged with murdering two people.” The story is more concerned with “feelings,” than the facts of the case. You have to read down a ways to find the details of the crime in most of her stories.

The reporter uses phrases like “questions linger” and “facts unclear.” Below is the thread:

David B. writes (sent earlier):

Speaking of the predators walking amongst us, The Knoxville horror trials, beginning with Eric Dewayne “E” Boyd, have begun. Here and here. You may remember this abomination from last year- Four blacks kidnapped, raped, tortured and murdered a young white couple after a car jacking. I’m sure you remember, the media covered it extensively. Oh wait, no it didn’t. The comments posted in the Knoxville News are refreshingly un liberal. The major media outlets are of course falling all over themselves to cover the trial. Oh wait, no they’re not. I pity the families of the victims.

A. Zarkov writes:

If it were my daughter that were murdered I can assure you that my response would not be as muted as what we hear from the parents of the murder victims. I would not hesitate to point out that as a group blacks target white people for violence, and that to some measure liberal America acts as a catalyst. Without draconian punishments for these kinds of depraved acts, we don’t have much of a deterrence. Deterrence works. By telling the Soviet Union that we would destroy them utterly even in the case of a conventional attack on the West, we avoided World War III for 50 years. But the liberals opposed the “no first use” doctrine as they oppose severe punishment in the civil arena. I even had a liberal friend tell me that punishment has no effect at all on deterring crime. It other words, all punishment is so ineffective that we might as well have no punishment. I was stunned to hear such a thing from an intelligent person with a PhD. Her brain simply shuts down on certain topics. Unfortunately we find this kind of thinking among judges and lawyers, especially young lawyers. Prepare yourself for Boyd to get a new trial.

Tim W. writes:

Jamie Satterfield is of the “random violence” school. If blacks kill whites, it’s just senseless, random violence. It’s purely coincidental that a young white couple was brutalized and murdered. The exact same thing would have happened if a black couple had crossed the killers’ path instead.

If the races had been reversed in this case, Jamie would be screaming “racial hate crime” from the top of the downtown office towers. Nancy Grace, Geraldo, and Oprah would be all over it. The New York Times would have printed half a dozen editorials and family members of the deceased would be invited to the Democratic convention. But since the victims are “typical white people,” our media elite don’t care.

David B. writes:

Here are two threads from today’s Knoxville newspaper. The first is reaction to the verdict from family and law enforcement.

The second is about the jury “searching their souls, feelings.” Note that Jamie Satterfield refers to “racism on both sides.”

Ed D. writes:

I read your recent article about the first defendant in the Knoxville Atrocity case being convicted, and I thought back to the Jena beatings, the murders of Lauren Burk and Eve Carson at Auburn and UNC, respectively. I just finished watching this chilling video where black savagery is proudly on display. I should warn you that what little passes for intelligible speech is quite vulgar, and the musical “score” is hideous. Apparently there is a whole series of videos just like this. Sometimes it’s important to see this for ourselves. Here is another video.

I live in Illinois, and Chicago mayor Richard Daley brought his posse down to Springfield to lobby for stricter gun control. He failed. Thank God he failed. At least I have the means to defend myself in case feral packs like those in the videos attack.
