Letter to Derbyshire

Alan Roebuck wrote an e-mail to the “conservative” writer who denies transcendent truth while also denying that he’s an atheist. Quite a trick, if I do say so myself. Unless one defines God as patterned sequences of the chemicals adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine. Which, after all, is what these people do, isn’t it?

George R. disagrees with Mr. Roebuck and I reply to him, probably inadequately (for the moment).
