Arrest in University of North Carolina murder

David B. writes:

The arrest was made this morning. The suspect would not walk, but let himself be dragged, a standard hoodlum technique. Here is the CNN thread.

But when Barack becomes president, all black-on-white murder, rape, and armed robbery, not to mention all black-on-white grievance mongering, will cease.

Perhaps, if he is elected, Barack will become a Father Figure for this and other lost souls?

Funny, I associate this with civil-rights/anti-nuclear protesters and such. What’s he protesting? The systemic overrrepresentation of murder charges among blacks?

Pardon my anger—which this and the Lauren Burk case have particularly aroused—but when he started pulling that with the cops, they should have beaten sense into him. Or broken his legs, I’m not fussy. (“Can’t walk? [Thunk! Thunk!] Hmnn, I see what you mean….”)

Demario James Atwater has been arrested for the murder of Eve Marie Carson. Another suspect is still being sought as I write. Here is a thread from the NY Times. The suspects are from Durham.

Because the link you initially posted didn’t work, I had to dig a bit on the CNN website to find the story. The article says that the first suspect arrested is being charged with first degree murder, then a little later someone is quoted as saying the crime appears “random”. Of course I thought of your posting on the use of the word random to describe this and the recent campus murder, which tends to dismiss these event’s wider implications (whatever those might be).

It certainly seems as if there has been a spike in violence lately.

I associated this behavior with “progressive” protesters also. But he may have been faking being unable to walk to create the impression the police beat him. Or he may have been actually beaten (doubtful).
