Vatican to establish permanent dialog with Muslims

A year and a half after his truthful Regensburg speech, which was soon followed by his abject apologies to Muslims and betrayals of the West, Pope Benedict is now institutionalizing his Larry Summers routine:

VATICAN CITY (Reuters)—The Vatican and Muslim leaders agreed on Wednesday to establish a permanent official dialogue to improve often difficult relations and heal wounds still open from a controversial papal speech in 2006.

A joint statement said the first meeting of “The Catholic-Muslim Forum” will take place on November 4-6 in Rome with 24 religious leaders and scholars from each side….

There is nothing new about this idea. “Europe” has been in a permanent formal dialog with Islam since the 1970s, involving many organizations, and aimed at creating a common cultural and economic sphere in which Europe will be steadily Islamized. It is documented in full in Bat Ye’or’s Eurabia (of which Fjordman has written a 16,000 word summary). So the Vatican has simply joined the Eurabia act.

It was once the case that the Church led, and Europe followed. Now Eurabia leads, and the Church follows.
