Competence

Mark DeMoss, an evangelical, explains why he supports Romney for president: “Mitt Romney’s life has been a portrait of leadership and competence.”

A female reader writes:

At the Corner, Lopez has an email from a reader pushing McCain and asking who could believe Rom could win in November? Is he kidding? Against Hill or green Obama, Rom could look really good, calm, experienced, fresh, forward looking, amenable. By contrast, McCain with his crabby twisted stubbornness and tendency to hurl profanities at oppoenents could look like bad news.

It’s time to push Rom as good, not just as less bad. There’s an answer to Lopez from another reader saying McCain victory would be worse than Rom loss. But Rom is positive good, has great qualities for national election.

Interesting support for Mitt Romney from Mark DeMoss. Being an evangelical Christian, I am familiar with DeMoss who used to be closely associated with Jerry Falwell.

BTW I also am supporting Mitt. An evangelical voter supporting an evangelical candidate (i.e. Huckster) makes no sense. Evangelicals supported Jimmy Carter en masse the first time he ran because he was an evangelical and look what they got! They switched quickly over to Ronald Reagan the next time.
