Brown’s “promotion of British values”

The Daily Mail reports:

Gordon Brown’s campaign to promote British values was exposed as a sham last night after it was revealed he personally approved a decision to remove Britannia from the 50p coin.

Anyone who falls for the “promotion of British values” as some kind of resistance to national decay is either a hopelessly clueless conservative or a liberal. “British values” means liberalism. Liberalism is universal. Therefore there’s nothing British about “British values.”

Brown is not the prime minister of Great Britain. He’s a dead man walking—and the leader of a dead country walking.
