Romney

Every time I see Romney talk, I have this strangely divided experience. On one hand, I continually find myself impressed by his intelligence and his “together” quality as a human being. On the other hand, there is always that odd uncomfortable sense I get about him, that as a political figure he is manufactured, having constructed out of the blue his present political persona in order to run for president. That is not necessarily a disabling flaw, but it leaves me feeling uneasy, wondering, “Who is this guy?”, even as I also feel impressed. Speaking objectively, and not in terms of my own vote, I continue to believe that he is far and away the best bet for the Republicans.
