The open-borders, big-government Huckster for Jesus

Michelle Malkin uses Huckabee’s past words on immigration to rip apart his current pretenses to be an illegal immigration controller. It’s impossible to believe that a man who has said the things Huckabee has said is at all serious about stopping illegal immigration and opposing amnesty. Huckabee is a candidate of Clintonian honesty and Bushian rationality.

Meanwhile, Jonah Goldberg sums up Huckabee thus: “Huckabee is a populist on economics, a fad-follower on the environment and an all-around do-gooder who believes that the biblical obligation to do ‘good works’ extends to using government—and your tax dollars—to bring us closer to the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.”
