Another theory on Iran

How can it be that the U.S. government has issued a report, the National Intelligence Estimate, that undercuts everything the U.S. government has been saying for the last four years vis a vis Iran? Peter Zeihan of Stratfor, writing in today’s New York Post, has an answer. The U.S. and Iran, he says, have reached a secret entente that will resolve the conflicts between them. Zeihan’s explanation of his idea is convoluted and makes no sense to me. Frankly, nothing about this NIE story makes sense to me. (I read Zeihan’s piece in the print edition of the Post but I cannot find it online.)
