The “lyrical terrorist” found guilty

23-year-old British-born Samina Malik, who describes herself as an Islamic extremist and as the Lyrical Terrorist, has been found guilty of possessing technical manuals written for use in launching terrorist attacks. Read about it in the Daily Mail. Be sure to read her how-to poem about beheading. See the video clip from British television on the conviction. It includes readings from her writings, which include this:

“The need increases in me every day to go to martyrdom…”

The judge, confining her to house arrest (house arrest!) until her prison sentencing in December, said to her, “You’ve been in many respects a complete enigma.” There’s a liberal for you! This young demon left numerous, clear records of her thoughts, her desire for “martyrdom,” her desire to behead “kufurs,” and it’s also known whence she has received these ideas, from the Islamic jihad teachings to which she has been exposed. But the judge cannot take in that reality, because it would mean that there is a real enemy and a real evil in the world, and, worse, that it comes from a non-Western group inhabiting Britain. So instead he calls this would-be beheader and mass murderer an “enigma.”

Just as, after Colin Ferguson systematically mass murdered six passengers and wounded many more on a Long Island Railroad car in 1993, and notes were found on his person in which he spoke of his desire to revenge himself on racist white society for having spoiled his life, Gov. Mario Cuomo called the act “unfathomable.”

For liberals, reality, which is non-liberal, is and must remain forever unknowable.
