It is impossible not to be astonished

I frequently tell people that they must not be surprised or bent out of shape by each, latest, worse-then-ever manifestation of liberal tyranny, because the radical anti-discrimination beliefs and laws are already in place, and they are supported with great energy and conviction by the left, and it is inevitable that these evil ideas must work themselves out to their logical, horrible extreme. We can only hope to defeat liberalism in the long run, not the short run.

But I am unable to practice what I preach, because I see something like the below, from the Daily Mail, and I’m stunned, my jaw drops:

Hairdresser sued for refusing to hire Muslim woman in a headscarf

The owner of a London hair salon is being sued for religious discrimination after refusing to give a job to a Muslim woman who wanted to wear a headscarf at work.
