Neo-tribalism?

The blog Old Atlantic Lighthouse makes a very interesting argument, that the neocons are and behave as a tribe. While I think there is much to this idea, I also think that OAL goes too far when he says that such tribalism is traditionalism. I posted a comment at the site explaining why.
